Visit to Melaka to See the Sea I traveled to Malacca from July 10th to 12th. It was a city with a pleasant breeze from the sea. In fact, I came to here to see the sea. Stayed at Imperial Heritage Hotel, east from the World Heritage site in Melaka city. The view to sea from the outside corridor in the hotel was not bad, but I went to a higher place -- the Shore Sky Tower -- to take a better picture (below). Malacca Straits From the Shore Sky Tower Dutch Square, one of the World Heritage sites Dutch Square was full of tourists walking around the historical buildings such as Stadthuys which was the Dutch Governor's residence in the 17c. You can see lots of monumental places of not only the Dutch colonialists but also Portuguese missionary of Francisco Xavier, who visited Japan via Macau from Melaka.
